At last year’s PFC Montreal symposium, 50+ young foundation trustees, staff, and grantees came together to discuss their shared role in the future of Canadian philanthropy. The energy of the group flowed far beyond this initial 3-hour gathering, and many participants have continued collaborating over the past year to further articulate and promote their shared goals.
This year, the
Youth Unconference will present a dynamic opportunity for young leaders to create their own agenda for an exploration of their evolving roles within Canadian philanthropy. We are excited to once again convene, connect, and amplify the diverse voices of youth who are active within (or actively engaging with) the philanthropic sector. Building on last year’s dynamic gathering, we aim to create an inclusive space for participants to connect and learn across their areas of experience and expertise. We look forward to cultivating shared community, growing together, and emerging with an updated set of collective goals for how youth can be drivers of change in Canadian philanthropy.
